Désolé, mais mon français est très pauvre, donc j'écris en anglais.
We stood overnight in the "Dortoir Alpe Baravex" on three, non sequenced days, in August 2023.
If there exists an scale of 0 to 5 for unguarded huts, this hut will got a clear 10, due to its absolute outstanding condition.
The house is fully equipped with two bathrooms (one suitable for wheelchair users), including running bhot and cold water, showers, (water flushed) toilets and bidets. The kitchen contains an electric stove, kitchen hood, a fridge and coocking equipment. Some dishes, cups and plates, plus knifes, spoons and forkes exists too. The rooms having bunk beds with good matress for each 4 people, upstairs one room with a single bed. Near the kitchen a dining room is located. The only minor problem are the italien power outlets. Some are compatible with the europe width (for charging telephones), some are not - but there exists one adaptor.
The location is covered by the GSM-Network.
The hut was open all the time, no need to pickup and return a key.
A box to spend some money is also available.
The house is located with an outstanding panoramic view to Aosta.
The neares point to reach by car, is near Arp du Praz, approx 2km north-west, where the car could be left near the road. Than after a short ascent and a longer descent the house could be reached within 30-45 Minutes. If walking in the dark, you may follow the road, instead using the steep shortcut.
